Brie Larvan is a former mechanical engineer of Mercury Labs. The zealous scientific mind Brie possessed is only matched by her ambition and vengefulness. Originally designing robotic bees for agriculture and defence she became obsessed with designing them for military purposes.
Not realizing the destructive potential for such an endeavour caused her to believe her co-workers whistleblowing and superior firing her was an act of betrayal that caused them to deserve their death. However, Larvan is also concerned with her welfare and being though her lack of morals make her actions in this regard more extreme, such as not wanting to be paralysed from a surgery to save her life so badly that she was willing to murder an entire board of innocent victims to achieve Felicity Smoak's technology. Brie has a deep affinity for bees and their paraphernalia. From designing miniature robotic bees and outfitting her lair with hive designs, Brie also dressed accordingly with colours such as yellow and honeycomb patterns. Despite her cold and bitter nature, Brie is not without a sense of humour particularly those that concern bees such as asking Tina McGee if she could be "buzzed" in and describing her vengeance to Barry Allen as a "sting of betrayal".

During her siege of Palmer Industries, she continuously enunciated "be" in the words of her sentences. With or without this humorous edge, Brie does not shy from brutal means to obtain revenge such as suffocating Carlisle with her bees and stinging Kang to death for telling on her. Though brilliant, her vengeful and arrogant nature are more prevailant such as defying the Flash despite her lack of powers which caused her to be easily restrained when her bees were deactivated and going to excessive lengths to murder Felicity Smoak despite having already obtained the technology required to treat her.
Targeting her former co-workers
Growing bitter from being fired, Brie began to go after her former co-workers. She sent her bees remotely after Lindsay Kang and then Bill Carlisle, killing them both by injecting copious amounts of apitoxin. She was almost thwarted by The Flash and his team, but the bees stung The Flash, nearly killing him. Brie sent her bees after Tina McGee, but before long she was located by the S.T.A.R. Labs team, who sent The Flash.
Taking Palmer Tech hostage
Shortly after being imprisoned at Iron Heights Prison, Brie Larvan learned that a tumor was attached to her spine and the surgery to remove it would cost her the use of her legs. Not wanting this outcome and learning about the technology used by Felicity Smoak to walk again, Brie Larvan hacked prison records to change her release date to March 29, 2016. Brie then reactivated and added upgrading software to her bees. She then went to Palmer Tech and took its Board of Directors hostage killing a member in the process, demanding to know where Felicity is.
