Publication Information Reiji Takigawa was the older brother of Kinji Takigawa. During Kinji's childhood, Reiji fought the Yokai as a Yokai Hunter alongside his father Junji back in America before they were killed by the Western Yokai Wolf Man while saving Kinji. Years later, the now grown-up Kinji honored his father and elder brother by fighting the Yokai in Japan as StarNinger. However, when faced with the Youkai Umibozu, he lost faith when he was shown an illusion depicting their deaths at the hands of Wolf Man, but regained his resolve after being encouraged by his fellow Ninningers. Kinji later came face-to-face with the Western Yokai Wolf Man himself, eventually prevailing over the Yokai and resisting Kyuemon Izayoi, Kinji confided with his teammates that he had wanted the Last Ninja's End Shuriken so he could use it to resurrect his father and older brother.

Publication Information Junji Takigawa was the father of Kinji Takigawa. Years later, the now grown-up Kinji honored his father and elder brother by fighting the Yokai in Japan as StarNinger.

However, when faced with the Youkai Umibozu, he lost faith when he was shown an illusion depicting their deaths at the hands of Wolf Man, but regained his resolve after being encouraged by his fellow Ninningers. Publication Information Yokai Hunters are a band of fighters who protect people by fighting Yokai. Kinji Takigawa's father and elder brother fought as Yokai Hunters during his childhood in America before they died at the hands of Western Yokai Wolf Man while protecting Kinji.

Years later, the now grown-up Kinji honored his father and elder brother by fighting the Yokai in Japan as StarNinger. However, when faced with the Youkai Umibozu, he lost faith when he was shown an illusion depicting their deaths at the hands of Wolf Man, but regained his resolve after being encouraged by his fellow Ninningers.

Kinji later came face-to-face with the Western Yokai Wolf Man himself, eventually prevailing over the Yokai and resisting Kyuemon Izayoi, Kinji confided with his teammates that he had wanted the Last Ninja's End Shuriken so he could use it to resurrect his father and older brother. By fighting the Kibaoni Army Corps, the Ninningers themselves would qualify as Yokai Hunters. The Ninningers' Sentai predecessors, the Kakurangers, who fought the Youkai Army Corps, along with their ally Ninjaman, could be considered as such as well.
