As this forced Adonis to order an invasion on the human world to empower the containment machine, Edith attempted to contact the Great Eye but is blocked by the Gammaisers that he created to protect the entity. A decade prior to the series, after being defeated by Ryū Tenkūji, Edith joins forces with him and aids him against the Gamma. Edith also promises Ryū to involve his son Takeru in their expeditions as he saw the youth's potential in preventing war between their worlds. Edith later build the four Ghost Drivers and the heroic Eyecons, giving two to Argos and Daigo Fukami and a third to the latter's son Makoto.

In the present day, Takeru's death by the Katana Gamma forces Edith to modify Ryū's plan by infusing Takeru's soul into an Eyecon and giving him the Ghost Driver with a mission to collect the heroic Eyecons. Portraying himself as the playful and mysterious hermit, Edith takes up residence in the basement of Daitenkū-ji to keep watch on Takeru and his friends' missions while at the same time returning to the Gamma World to overseer the Gammas' progress. But when Adel succeeded his father and became a threat to their own people, Edith is forced to reveal his true colors by dragging the Gamma emperor to Earth to prevent him from harnessing the Great Eye's power.
With his secret now exposed, saving Takeru and Alain from the Perfect Gammiser at the cost of his own body and return with another one while in the hermit's clothes. Edith also reveal that he could have revived Takeru during his first death, but the youth is now beyond his power is save after his lifespan ended and second revival. While the others were upset by that, Takeru instead thank Edith for his help with Makoto doing the same. It is revealed that his stasis capsule is hidden within Daitenkū-ji, with Yurusen revealed to be his pet cat, who also slept in the same capsule as him. He is currently decide to stay in Daitenkū-ji with Javel, instead of returning to their homeworld and takes Ryū's former position as the head priest of the Daitenkū-ji.
Edith possess his own Gamma Ultima Eyecon, which allows him to transform into Gamma Ultima Ebony, a jet-black variant of the original Gamma Ultima form. In the final battle against Adel and the Gammiser, he creates his own Ghost Driver and becomes a second Kamen Rider Dark Ghost, in order to open the monolith connection between human and Gamma's world completely. He was briefly mistaken by Takeru for Argos before Edith corrected the boy. Although trying to participate in the battle, his old age eventually forced Yurusen to withdraw him from the fight. However, it is unknown if the Dark Ghost he used is contains Argos' soul or another one.
Kamen Rider Ghost : Final Story (Special Edition) : Future! Connected Thoughts!
Edith together with Takeru and his friends visited Ryu Tenkuji’s grave. He tells Ryu that his wishes were passed on and Human World is saved. Later on, Edith together with Takeru and his friends and Ayumu celebrates Takeru’s birthday. It was conducted based on Takeru being safely resurrected not his real birthday. Due to Alain returning back to Gamma World with Makoto and Kanon assisting causing the atmosphere to get sad, Edith gets Narita and Shibuya to dance with him to lift everyone’s spirit.
However, Edith stops dancing upon noticing Shakariki Sports Gashat that Ayumu is holding and judge it as bizarre since it have the power to change the world. Days later, Edith decided to take over the role of Daitenku Temple’s new head priest since Onari is busy setting up Mysterious Phenomenon Institute to continue protecting innocent peoples despite threats from the Gamma are gone.

Edith possesses the ability to resurrect slain individuals, as demonstrated with Jun Honganji. In the case of Takeru Tenkuji, however, Edith imposed a 99 day limit on his renewed life so he would collect the Ghost Eyecons.
Abilities:
- Ganma Hole creation : As a Gamma, Edith possesses the ability to create miniature Gamma Holes by merely pointing and making the shape of an eye with his hand, allowing him to travel from his own world to the human world and back.
- Invisibility / Intangibility : Edith is naturally both invisible and intangible to living people. He has the ability to make himself visible and solid at will, allowing him to interact with humans. He can also be rendered visible by the Kumo Lantern or the Shiranui developed by Akari.
- Sixth sense : Edith appears to possess an unelaborated sixth sense which allows him to be aware of developments occuring in both the Gamma World and the human world while he stands by the Monolith at the Daitenku Temple, as evidenced by his separate realizations that the Gammaizers and Argos were making their respective moves.
Damashii
Dark Ghost's forms are called Damashii, accessed using the Ghost Eyecons. He also bears a headpiece called the Persona, which gives off a glow effect with the rest of his body. The Persona changes with Dark Ghost's numerous Damashii forms, as well as serving as a prefix title for all of the Damashii forms' helms. By pulling and pushing the Ghost Driver's lever a second time after transforming, Dark Ghost can activate an Omega Drive finishing attack tied to the Ghost Eyecon currently being used. If he pulls and pushes the lever four times, he can instead execute an Oomedama. "Giant eyeball" special attack.

- Dark Damashii is the default form of Kamen Rider Dark Ghost. Accessed through the use of the Dark Ghost Eyecon, this form is analogous to Kamen Rider Ghost's Ore & Toucon Boost Damashiis. A flying kick that uses spiritual energy which makes the body and mask of Dark Ghost's form glow and envelops him in a black flame.

- Houdini Damashii is Specter's indigo flying-based form themed after Harry Houdini, the early 20th century master magician and escape artist. What is somewhat lesser known about Houdini is that the man was also a debunker of the supernatural. Accessed through the Houdini Ghost Eyecon, this form bears the Persona Illusionist helmet with the Face Restraint faceplate. Sennin is possessed by Houdini in the stage show and assumes this form.
- While assuming Houdini Damashii, Specter fuses himself with his Machine Hoodie to don the Psychic Hunter Hood where he gains the power of flight by using the wheels of the bike as jet turbines and the body of it as wings, thanks to the Lazuli Avionics helm attached to the Psychic Hunter Hood that helps control flight. He also has the ability to teleport instantly, catching any opponents into surprise.

- The inventor of the Ghost Driver, Edith ultimately used a Ghost Driver which he reserved for himself transformation and to create a gateway to the Gamma World.

- Gamma Ultima Eyecon : This white and black Gamma Eyecon allows Edith to transform into the Gamma Ultima Ebony.
- Gamma Ultima Eyecon
- Transformation trinkets, as with all Gamma, Edith's natural basic form is the Gamma Eyecon. This Eyecon is colored gold at the back. This Eyecon form was destroyed by suffering damage from combination attack from Perfect Gammaizer, Gammazier Climate and Gammaizer Planet. However, a second one was spawned not long after. It later ceased to exist after the Great Eye went to space.
