Lieutenant Edwards


Lieutenant Edwards, was an officer in the United States Armed Forces and a Navy SEAL who assisted Rick Flag in Task Force X's mission. Edwards was recruited by ARGUS to help Task Force X along with 2 units of Navy SEALs codenamed Bravo and Alpha.

GQ was the leader of the SEALs as he was a Lieutenant but was under the command of Rick Flag. He saw the team for the first time and was dismayed as he thought the SEALs were more than enough to take out Enchantress. He went to Midway City along Task Force X to battle Enchantress and Incubus. It was covered as a terrorist attack though. The helicopter they were on crashed but everyone survived. He and the rest of the Navy SEALs were almost overpowered by their minions but the Eyes of the Adversary were fought off by them and Task Force X. Edwards started to question Flag after one of the minions they killed was a civilian but quickly backed down when asked if he would believe him.

Publication Information Bravo was captured and turned into minions, leaving only the remaining members of Alpha. They made it to the extraction zone to escort Amanda Waller into a helicopter but it was hijacked by the Joker with the help of his goons. Joker and his goons managed to kill all but 4 of the SEALs. They made a plan to take out Incubus by driving him into a corner and blow him up with a demo charge Enchantress had abandoned earlier in a flooded subway station.

Abilities
  • Peak Human Condition : Edwards, as a US Navy SEAL, is in top physical condition, with greatly heightened levels of strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, agility, and durability, though not quite on pair with Deadshot and Captain Boomerangand not even near to Batman's level.
  • Expert Marksman : Edwards is a highly skilled marksmen, landing several shots on some of Enchantress's Eyes of the Adversary.
  • Expert Swimmer : Edwards, due to being a Navy SEAL, is a highly skilled swimmer, thus was able to plant a bomb under Incubus.
  • Skilled Leader : Edwards, as a Navy Seal Lieutenant, is a very skilled leader.

Gomez

Gomez

Publication Information Petty Officer Gomez is an officer of the United States Air Force and Navy SEAL who assisted Rick Flag and Task Force X on their mission to kill the Enchantress and Incubus in Midway City. He was killed in action during the battle protecting Edwards along with the other SEALs. Gomez appeared along with Edwards where he and a group of Navy SEALS arrived to assist Task Force X in their final confrontation with the Enchantress.

Gomez was a part of Alpha Squad. He managed to survive most of the battle even after most of the SEALS were killed . The SEALs including him went underwater when they were going to set a bomb to kill Incubus . He along with the SEALs were killed under water by Enchantress' soldiers when escorting Edwards to set a bomb. His death was not in vain as Edwards seemingly died and successfully killed Incubus.

Admiral Mackenzie Olsen is a high-ranking officer in the United States Navy, and an adamant opposer of Amanda Waller's pitch for Task Force X. Admiral Olsen, as a member of the US Armed Forces, is quite patriotically dedicated to his job and country, with a great deal of posthumous respect and admiration for Superman, whom he views as a national hero, with Olsen even reprimanding Amanda Waller for looking cheerful in light of Superman's recent death. He doesn't care for Waller's amoral methods, however, since he, unlike his associate Dexter Tolliver, expresses dismay as her Task Force X proposition.

Meeting Amanda Waller

Relatively shortly after Superman's death, Admiral Olsen and Dexter Tolliver meet with ARGUS Director Amanda Waller, to discuss her Task Force X proposition. Waller proceeds to gives them a detailed description of all of her unwilling candidates Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo, Rick Flag, and the Enchantress. Ultimately, however, Olsen objects to the proposition, appalled at the idea of Waller entrusting homeland security to "witches, gang-bangers, crocodiles, and the Joker's girlfriend." Waller, however, remains adamant, and intends to present her idea at the Pentagon, and Dexter is more supportive of her idea.
