- Electrokinesis : As a speedster, Jay produces a great deal of electricity as he runs which is a visible indicator of his connection with the Speed Force. Jay's lightning is yellow, similar to Barry, John, and Malcolm.
- Time Travel : Jay has the capacity to travel through time and is skilled in doing so, capable of intercepting other speedsters who are also traveling through time and jumping to a time of his choosing
- High-Level Intellect : Jay is a very intelligent man, having been an, as he calls it, "amateur scientist" at one point and invented a serum which first granted him his superspeed during his experiements.
- Expert Chemist : Jay was able to invent a counter-serum to Edward Clariss' speedster serum, removing his foe's powers prematurely within a short time of learning how it happened in the first place.
- Experienced Hand-to-hand combatant : While only having a little formal training, Jay is a very skilled combatant with many years of experience.
- Speed Force Knowledge : In addition to understanding the Speed Force and its more obscure powers, Jay is well versed in the history of it and many speedster legends.
- Speedster Weaknesses : Jay has the vulnerabilities typical of a speedster such as cold, electrical drain, being cut off from the Speed Force, and different vibrational frequencies from other universes or certain materials interfering with his ability to phase.
- Old Age : Some of Jay's powers have lessened as he gets older, such as his top speed and healing factor.
