Sento Kiryu

- Is a young man in his 20s who has prodigious mental abilities. Prior to the start of the series, he was found by Sōichi Isurugi in an alley, missing all of his memories except for one where he was being experimented on by Gentoku as Night Rogue. Sōichi gives Sento his name and convinced the youth to help him fight the Smash in the hopes of regaining his memories.

- After being banned for life from competition for cheating, he was supposed to work with the former Touto Institute researcher now founder of Faust, Takumi Katsuragi. However, on September 9th, he found Katsuragi seemingly dead in his apartment which was actually a set up by Faust's high-ranked agent, Sōichi Isurugi/Blood Stalk. Framed for the crime of murdering him, Ryūga was given a 10-year jail sentence. While in prison, he was kidnapped by Faust's agent Nabeshima to be used for Faust's experiment. Somehow, he managed to escape before the experimentation completely turned him into a Smash and with his memories intact.

- Who works as Sento's assistant, gaining a supernatural power after being rendered comatose for seven years from being exposed to the Pandora Box sometime after the Skywall Disaster. She was kidnapped by Faust to use in their traumatic experimentation until Sōichi managed to rescue her a year ago. Fearing that Faust is still trailing her, she remained in nascita while using her online idol identity Mii-tan to gather Smash intel from her fanbase.

- Freelance journalist, dedicated to learning about Build and the Smash. She was first seen being saved by Build from the Needle Smash and later found out about Sento's identity as Build, leading her to provide him with assistance. While she is later revealed to be a spy for Namba, it is revealed that she intended to use her position to covertly learn the truth behind the cover-up of an industrial accident at Namba Heavy Industries that killed her father and ten others.
Sōichi Isurugi

- Ten years prior to the series, he was the astronaut who discovered the Pandora Box on Mars and caused the Skywall Disaster by coming in contact with the artifact. Originally a kind-hearted man, the exposure of the Pandora Box distorted his sense of morality, turning him cruel and leading to him becoming Faust's high-ranking member Blood Stalk. Acting on his own whims, he clashes with Gentoku both verbally and physically while expressing a loathing for science.
