Emu and Asuna arrive, but Hiiro shows up and diagnoses him first; the Aranbura Bugster speaks through him before he is taken over by the infection and turns into his Bugster Union form. Hiiro and Emu become Kamen Riders Brave and Ex-Aid Level 1 and destroy the virus form, but before they can defeat the Aranbura Bugster who separated from him, Kamen Rider Genm interrupts, letting Aranbura escape. Because the Bugster wasn't defeated, Rensuke is still being affected, and is slowly fading away. Upon hearing his story, Emu hypothesizes that the stress from his fiancee breaking up was what "triggered" the Bugster infection to well up.

He also discovers that she only broke off her engagement with Rensuke because she didn't think she was good enough for him. After the Aranbura Bugster is tracked down and defeated by Ex-Aid and Brave, Rensuke recovers and uncancels the marriage.

- Bugster Union is the monster form of a Bugster-infected patient when the virus first flares up. When a Bugster-infected patient experiences enough stress, the Bugster Viruses inside multiply rapidly and overtake the patient's body, forming a giant orange virus form around it; the Union's shape seems largely irrelevant to the Bugster's appearance. Bugster Unions can only be defeated by a Kamen Rider in Level 1; the reason why is unexplained, though it may be because other Levels are too strong and may injure the patient inside the Union.
