He knows that fighting monsters is one of Xio's priorities, but he also wishes that there could be a way to make peace with the monsters instead of annihilating them. As a child, Daichi's father and mother were lost in a mysterious event connected to the Ultra Flare. His father had ran into a building to find his mother, but the building and everything in it disappeared. Daichi was left with the Gomora Doll his father was studying and had a vision of a battle near the sun, between two spheres. He saw the defeated sphere thrown into the sun and the victorious opened by the solar flare, revealing a giant of light. Upon learning of X's past, he decided to assist the Ultra in regaining his physical body. He is a cheerful person but can also be serious at times and for once, pushes himself too hard trying to materialize Cyber Gomora which nearly costs him his good health.

It wasn't until he managed to befriend the Cyber Monster that the materialization process was brought to fruition. In his free time, Daichi tried to pursue his parents' dream of communicating with extraterrestrial life forms using his mother's space communicator. After hearing of his mother's survival, he tried his best to save his parents and during X's supposed death by Greeza, Daichi discovered that he was prophesied to be Earth's savior from the destroyer, which was fulfilled with the help of the escaped Spark Dolls.
After the battle, he was commended by his parents before returning to his teammates, now with his relation to Ultraman X being disclosed. After the events of Ultraman X The Movie, Daichi was separated from X after the latter regained his physical body but once again reunited with him after a new enemy Desastro made its way to Earth.
