Megumi Iruma

The first female Captain in an Ultra series, she has a commanding yet motherly presence. She mostly stays in headquarters and leaves field operations in the capable hands of her deputy captain, Munakata. Her influence makes GUTS perhaps less militant than some of her superiors over at TPC, which provides some opportunities for dramatic tension. She used to be a scientist and she is also a widow with one child that lives with her mother-in-law. Later, she was revealed to be the re-incarnation of Yuzare. Megumi Iruma The captain of GUTS, as leader she had a rather motherly relationship with her team.

History

Before joining GUTS, she was a manager of the special group, working to communicate with E.T. She lost her husband, who had worked with her, in a accident there. She has one son, his name is Tomoki. He was living with grandmother, who held a grudge against her for not stopping her work in the wake of her son's death. Her son's talent regarding computer technology is genius level, even more so than Yazumi, even he is so young.

Her ability as GUTS Captain is excellent. All members trust her decisions, especially Munakata who trusts and respects her so much as she saved his life before they joined guts. In the Final Odyssey, it is stated by Kamila that Iruma is the descendant of Yuzareand her reincarnation, as shown when the spirit of her ancestor emerged from her unconscious body to seal the Dark Giants on Lulu island.

Seven years after the threat of Dark Giants, she briefly returns to action in Ultraman Tiga & Ultraman Dyna: Warriors of the Star of Light, where she pilots a GUTS Wing upon witnessing the new Ultraman, Dyna who died on the hand of Queen Monera as she also witness the revival of Ultraman Tiga. She also assisted Super GUTS when Asuka and Ryo are captured by the TPC in order for the creation of a new weapon.

Yuzare (Ancestor of Megumi Iruma)

It is stated by Kamila that Ultraman Tiga betrayed the Dark Giants due to her words. What she said or how she did it is unknown, it is known that the two became lovers and the Yuzare was head of the Earth's defense organization at the time similar to Iruma and GUTS.
