His memory has been altered with no recollection of his past, and is referred by the Roimudes as the "Grim Reaper" and is tasked to hunt down out-of-line Roidmudes and destroy their physical forms while taking their numbers to be reformatted by Brain. He is soft-spoken and sees Drive as his rival. In battle, he transforms into a Kamen Rider-like form called Mashin Chaser and is armed with the Break Gunner fire arm and drives the Ride Chaser motorcycle. He later receives Chaser Viral Cores which allows Mashin Chaser to become the armed Tune Chaser forms, which each have their own weapons. Some of his memories of his former life arise when he sees Kiriko Shijima, who he once saved as Proto Drive, so he continues to meet with Kamen Rider Drive in order to discover his previous identity.

Despite Medic's attempts to keep him from remembering his past by changing his purpose to serve as the Roidmudes' defender, Chase fully regains his memories when Kiriko tends to his wounds after a fight with Kamen Rider Drive. Using a Mach Driver Honoh and the Signal Chaser Signal Bike, reverse engineered by Rinna Sawagami from Mashin Chaser's armor, to become Kamen Rider Chaser, armed with the Shingou-Ax, while still using the Break Gunner as a firearm. He also later receives the go-kart-like Ride Booster Blue.
During the events of the film Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Ghost & Drive: Super Movie War Genesis, Chase, along with all Roidmudes, has been brought back to life due to Takeru Tenkūji altering the events of the past in hopes of making sure his father lives. This is all part of the Da Vinci Gamma's plot to change the future to his liking. Chase, however, still possesses his memories of the original timeline and is not focused on attacking humans and he assists the Kamen Riders once more. After the Da Vinci, Raphael, and Michelangelo Gammas are defeated, history is restored back to normal, and the Roidmudes all disappear once more. However, Chase bids Go Shijima one final farewell before he disappears.
Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Drive & Gaim : Movie War Full Throttle
When both Zoruku Tojo and Megahex arise, Chase as well as other Roidmudes are surprised that their powers fell into the hands of more powerful figures. Believing that their technology only fits for the Roidmude race, Chase (and eventually other Roidmudes as well) was forced to form an alliance with Drive to stop the threat.
Super Hero Taisen GP : Kamen Rider 3
Chase also becomes one of the victims of the alterations to time made by Shocker, permanently making him Mashin Chaser. He intruded and attacked Drive and other Riders during the Rider Grand Prix, only to be defeated by Kamen Rider Black RX and the Ridoron.
Kamen Rider Drive : Surprise Future
Chase (as Kamen Rider Chaser), alongside Go (as Mach), joined forces to defeat Kamen Rider Dark Drive, an apparent Drive from the future. However, they can't defeat Dark Drive in an instant way. Later, he uses the Ride Crosser combining with the Ride Booster Set to destroy the Astaco. Shinnosuke borrowed Chase's Mach Driver to transform into Super Dead Heat Drive before returning the Driver back to him.
Kamen Rider Drive : Final Stage
Chase returns as Mashin Chaser in the Final Stage and was brain-washed by Roidmude 108. He later regain his memory, and gain power from Shift Cars then transformed into Kamen Rider Drive Type Wild.
Kamen Rider Ghost & Drive : Chou Movie War Genesis
In crossover between Ghost and Drive, Chase is temporarily revived with the other Roidmudes. Chase aligns himself with Go Shijima and Makoto Fukami. He disappears with the others after the Michelangelo Gamma was defeated. He assures Go that he was glad to have fought side by side with him as friends.
Kamen Rider Drive Saga : Kamen Rider Chaser
Chase, wanting to experience human emotions, is approached by Angel, who gives him the Feather Circuit, allowing him to experience human emotions. Soon, Chase realizes he is unable to transform into Kamen Rider Chaser and has no choice but to transform into Super Mashin Chaser using the Rhino Super Viral Core given to him by Angel. The Feather Circuit soon renders Chase unable to fight. As a last resort, he forcefully removes the feather from his body, at the cost of his emotions, while later managing to defeat Angel.
Kamen Rider Drive Saga : Kamen Rider Mach
He appears briefly to assist Go by possessing his human template Koichi Kano through the Ride Crosser Shift Car.
